Karl Rove-affiliated super PAC American Crossroads is running a new spot in Florida that blames spending under President Obama for the slow pace of the recovery. “Why isn’t the economy stronger?” the narrator asks. “In the seconds it takes to watch this, our national debt will increase $1.4 million.”
The ad claims Obama went back on his word in 2008, when he spoke against raising the debt, and is adding $4 billion in debt every day. The ad begins running Tuesday and will run for two weeks, reports the Tampa Bay Times, calling it “the latest in a barrage of outside spending in the state that includes $5.5 million from Crossroads” in Florida.
