Well-known British journalist Jeremy Paxman told the UK’s Leveson Inquiry today that Piers Morgan — the current CNN host and former editor of the Daily Mirror — told him how to hack voicemail messages.
The BBC reports:
He said the incident happened at a lunch organised by Trinity Mirror at its headquarters “about 10 years ago”.
Piers Morgan responded with this terse tweet:
Right – that’s the last time I’m inviting Jeremy Paxman to lunch. Ungrateful little wretch.
