Facebook’s $1 billion acquisition of the mobile photo sharing app Instagram could be stymied by an antitrust investigation into the deal, the Financial Times reports.
Facebook and the FTC declined to comment on the possibility of an investiagtion when asked by TPM.
“FTC Investigations are non-public with a narrow exception that would not be met in this case, so I can neither confirm nor deny any investigation,” an FTC spokesperson told TPM.
