The new survey of the Ohio Senate race from Public Policy Polling (D) gives shows Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown continuing to lead Republican state Treasurer Josh Mandel, but with Mandel making some progress from an earlier PPP result.
The numbers: Brown 45%, Mandel 37%. The survey of registered voters was conducted from May 3-6, and has a ±3.3% margin of error.
In the previous PPP survey from January, Brown led by 47%-36%.
The TPM Poll Average shows Brown currently ahead by 45.5%-38.7% over Mandel.
