An annual meeting of the National Rifle Association started out with a consistent theme on Friday: the media misrepresents the organization committed to promoting the Second Amendment.
“We will never backed away from our rights to defend all law-abiding gun owners,” said NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. “We will defend a declaration that the Second Amendment must be preserved as a natural right. Fully accessible to every single law abiding citizen. If the media does not like it, they can go to concord bridge and take a flying leap.”
