Former Tom DeLay aide Tony Rudy — the only person caught up in the Jack Abramoff scandal who still hasn’t been sentenced — will find out his fate at 10 a.m. on April 19, according to court filing.
Rudy pled guilty over six years ago, but federal authorities delayed his sentencing because he cooperated against other defendants. Under his plea deal prosecutors will recommend a sentencing of between two years and two years and six months.
A federal judge approved a motion last month to keep a filing spelling out the agreed upon facts of the case secret because of unspecified national security concerns.
