Ron Paul doesn’t want Secret Service protection, he told Jay Leno last night. Why? Because a detail of highly-trained body guards would make him just the latest to rely on a government handout.
“You’re having the taxpayers pay to take care of somebody,” Paul told the late night host. “I’m an ordinary citizen and I would think I should pay for my own protection.”
