Gingrich: ‘I’m The Tortoise — I Take One Step At A Time’

In his defiant election night speech to supporters, Newt Gingrich recounted the surges of various other candidates who have come and gone in the race — Tim Pawlenty, Donald Trump, Tim Pawlenty, Michele Bachmann, etc. He even included Rick Santorum among the number, who is likely to win more votes and delegates tonight than himself. He then invoked an old fable.

“There are lots of bunny rabbits that speed through it,” said Gingrich. “I’m the tortoise — I take one step at a time.”
