The Maker Of The Obama ‘Hope’ Poster Pleads Guilty

According to the Associated Press, the man behind the iconic “Hope” poster popularized during the 2008 Obama campaign, has pleaded guilty to criminal contempt.

On Friday in a New York court Shepard Fairey said he had fabricated information in a legal battle he fought with the Associated Press starting in 2009. The news agency asserted that Fairey had violated their copyright on a picture of Barack Obama when he made the poster.
