Production of the Colbert Report has been temporarily suspended because of a family emergency, the Wall Street Journal reports. The suspension news came in an email to fans with tickets for last night’s taping, but Comedy Central isn’t offering a public explanation for the suspension. Comedy Central did not comment on the details of the situation, saying only that new episodes will return soon.
Here’s Comedy Central’s official statement:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will air repeat episodes on Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16.”
