Facebook users experienced an abrupt but brief site-wide outage on Thursday afternoon, an event further highlighted by the fact that the company filed paperwork for an initial public offering of stock on Wednesday.
A Facebook spokesperon acknowledged the outage to TPM but declined to comment further on the cause. The spokersperson provided the following statement to TPM: “Earlier today, some users briefly experienced issues loading the site. The issues have now been resolved, and we are back to 100%.”
