Question: If KMac negotiates all these rules concessions, but someone else ultimately becomes Speaker, does this new person have to abide by those concessions? IOW, are the negotiated terms tied to the man (KMac) or to the position itself?

  2. I think the idea is that he McCarthy is bound to use the speakership to realize those ends but I don’t think anyone else would be unless they individually made the same concessions.

  3. Tuesday’s session turned into a yelling match

    Situation normal.

  4. As @generalsternwood says, those concessions are temporary. The House sets its own rules and they can change.

  5. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

But if you keep on trying and not succeeding, it may be a sign that you’re doing it wrong.
