Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show Friday night and lambasted the Democrats’ House health care reform bill. She also joined Hannity in reviving the death panel canard.
Hannity began the interview by asking about “end-of-life counselors” in the House bill. “I thought we got rid of that for sure. How did that get back in the bill?” he asked.
“This is their intention from the start, Sean,” Bachmann answered. “This is cradle-to-grave governmentt takeover of the Pelosi health care nightmare known as this bill.”
Bachmann also called the bill a “horror picture show,” “the crown jewel of socialism,” “socialized medicine” and “unconstitutional.”
“You can’t with a straight face say that we’re a free-market capitalist country anymore,” Bachmann said.
So what’s Bachmann doing about it? Trying to round up a gang of Fox News followers to roam the halls of Congress and confront lawmakers, of course.
“I’m asking people come to Washington D.C. by the carload,” she said — noting that she’s holding a press conference Thursday at noon on the Capitol steps.
