Trump Plans To Stiff Giuliani On Legal Fees After Failing To Steal Election

President Donald Trump, infamous for refusing to pay his bills, is reportedly seeking to avoid paying his personal attorney and top enabler, Rudy Giuliani, the legal fees he owes the lawyer who spent months fruitlessly attempting to help Trump overturn the election.

The Washington Post and New York Times report that Trump and Giuliani’s relationship is souring and that the President has ordered aides to withhold any payments to the attorney.

Trump is reportedly displeased with Giuliani’s eye-popping price tag of $20,000 per day for his services and with some of the ways the lawyer attempted to fight the election results in the swing states his client decisively lost to President-elect Joe Biden.

Additionally, the White House is now rejecting Giuliani’s calls to Trump, according to the Times.

If Trump does ultimately refuse to pony up, at least Giuliani could still say he got something out of working for the President: stellar treatment for his COVID-19 infection last month.

Giuliani’s legal services in Trump’s anti-democracy crusade consisted of filing failed lawsuits based on bogus conspiracy theories and holding an absurd press conference at small landscaping firm “Four Seasons Total Landscaping” in the middle of nowhere.

News of Trump’s estrangement from Giuliani comes amid the fallout over the President encouraging his angry supporters to storm the Capitol after his “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6, during which he fed his followers lies about the election being fraudulent. The siege resulted in Trump’s second impeachment by the House.

Giuliani was at the rally as well, where the lawyer urged Trump fans to “have trial by combat.”

Well, nobody saw that coming. Isn’t Trump famous for how generous he is? I don’t think he’s ever stiffed anyone he owed money in the past.

Oh, and Rudy doesn’t get a pardon either. So sad!
