President Trump is expected to be impeached for a second time Wednesday, as the House votes on whether to remove him for his role in egging on a violent mob on the Capitol.

The floor proceedings kicked off Wednesday morning and the final impeachment vote is expected to take place mid-afternoon. Before that, at around 10 a.m., there will be a procedural vote that will queue up the later vote on the impeachment resolution, which charges Trump with “incitement of insurrection.”

At least a handful of House Republicans, including the No 3. member of the caucus, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), are expecting to join Democrats in impeaching the President.

Then the impeachment proceedings will head to the Senate, with ABC News reporting that Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to transmit the impeachment article next week. Currently the Senate is not scheduled to reconvene until Jan. 19, meaning the Senate vote on whether to convict Trump might not happen until after President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office.

    Thank you all in advance!

  4. Rep. Cole - we have not had the opportunity to view any evidence. We have not been given the opportunity to speak with any witness.

Witnesses? Everybody in the chamber, including you. Evidence? Are you claiming you haven’t heard the pre-riot rally? Fine, let’s play it and then watch the response.

    Done.
