Earlier today, Fox News host Sean Hannity tweeted his discontent about President Obama’s big speech tonight on Afghanistan, calling Obama “the annointed one” and lamenting that the speech “is taking away time from my tv show and charlie brown’s Christmas!”

In Christianity “the Anointed One” usually refers to the Messiah, or Jesus Christ. The facetious comparison to Barack Obama seems to be a recurring theme in Fox News host tweets, with Glenn Beck asking back in May if Obama “the Messiah” could heal then-Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor’s diabetes.
