DNC National Press Secretary Hari Sevugan issued the following response to Sen. Jim DeMint’s (R-SC) criticism of the President’s national security strategy. Here’s the full text:
“It’s sad that Jim DeMint and the Republican Party continue to see political and financial opportunity in terrorist threats to the United States. Â It’s especially pathetic in light of the fact that, while our Commander-In-Chief’s strategy to protect our homeland and deter terrorists threats has received praise from both independent observers and former Bush administration officials, it’s Jim DeMint himself who is preventing the President from filling a crucial TSA post and Jim DeMint himself who joined other GOP senators in opposing more than $250 million for airport screening and explosive detection.”
