House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) was asked today about Kentucky Republican Senate nominee Rand Paul’s recent criticisms of the Civil Rights Act, but said that he “really can’t opine as to his position.”

On Washington Journal today, Cantor was asked whether he supports Paul’s position, which Paul himself defended on the Rachel Maddow Show last night.

Cantor responded: “Not being familiar with the context of his response or his questions, I really can’t opine as to his position.”
