Obama Not Tuning In For Tonight’s Debate

President Barack Obama and TX Gov. Rick Perry

President Obama will not be among the Americans eagerly perched on the edges of their couches tonight waiting to see if Rick Perry can finally rise to the challenge of a presidential debate.

While millions thousands more than a few of his countrymen will be hunting around the digital tier trying to find Bloomberg TV (or logging on to the Washington Post website) tonight for the big economic debate in New Hampshire, Obama will be kicking back with that other American pastime: baseball.

From the pool report of a press gaggle on Air Force One with White House spokesperson Josh Earnest:

Earnest said POTUS told Earnest this morning that he won’t watch it, but rather will be tuning into the Tigers/Rangers game tonight. But Earnest expects POTUS will read the news coverage. “In terms of my own expectations I don’t expect we’re going to hear any ideas to create jobs and strengthen our economy right away. In fact I think we’re going to hear a lot more from these Republicans advocating for policies that got us into this economic mess in the first place.”
