The anti-terror raid in Verviers, Belgium that reportedly turned deadly on Thursday night was captured on amateur video, CNN reported, per its affiliate VTM News.
The darkened footage showed flames and smoke coming from a building. The sound of gunfire and explosions could be heard. People could be seen in the windows of the burning building.
The raid came on the heels of several attacks in Paris, which included two hostage situations and one mass killing that left 12 dead, including two police officers and 10 staff members from the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
Officials were expected to hold a press conference about the raid on Thursday afternoon.
