Based on his body language, President Donald Trump appeared displeased after Tuesday’s wild televised debate and subsequent meeting with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

According to a Los Angeles Times report, Trump flung down a folder after exiting the meeting, sending the papers inside flying.

A West Wing staffer told the LA Times that the meeting, in which Pelosi especially refused to back down to Trump’s demands, sent White House aides into “damage-control mode.”

Trump said in front of cameras that he would be “proud” to shut down the government over border security, a damaging sound bite that set a smirk firmly upon Schumer’s face.

“The aftermath of that meeting was not pretty,” the staffer added.
