President Trump on Tuesday announced he was sending additional military personnel to the border to combat the supposed “tremendous numbers of people” entering the U.S. from Mexico, by tweeting that he would “build a human wall” if he couldn’t get the physical one he’s gunning for.
The tweet comes just hours before his State of the Union address, where he’s expected to harp on what his administration is calling a “crisis” at the southern border and reignite his push for border wall funding, which he temporarily caved on when he agreed to reopen the government.
Tremendous numbers of people are coming up through Mexico in the hopes of flooding our Southern Border. We have sent additional military. We will build a Human Wall if necessary. If we had a real Wall, this would be a non-event!

Oh, Red Rover. I love that game.
Nonsense, sheer nonsense. More of it.
I have to admit, it could be done…
We will build a Human Wall if necessary. If we had a real Wall, this would be a non-event!
I’m waiting for him to hit on the idea of blaming the border landowners for allowing migrants to cross their land - it must be obvious, as there’re apparently tens of thousands of them - and threatening to charge them if they don’t patriotically volunteer to build walls themselves!
