White House aides are so unconcerned about the specter of impeachment that they don’t even have a plan in place to handle proceedings, should the House start them, an administration official told Politico.

White House aides reportedly think that Democrats wouldn’t take such a politically risky gamble with a move that has next to zero chances of working, thanks to the Republican-controlled Senate.

“She seems keenly aware that if they launch impeachment now, it will guarantee [Trump’s] reelection in 2020,” an administration official said of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Instead, Democrats are turning to further investigation of President Donald Trump’s conduct in the wake of episodes revealed by the redacted Mueller report.

Well, I’d recommend a tiny bit of chalance.

  2. Dear media,

Please stop asking team trump and Republicans if they’re concerned about or think there should be impeachment. Ask them if they think the actions Trump has been proved to have committed (and list them here - it’ll take awhile, but do it) are just fine and dandy and what they want and expect in a president … or a Congress critter or a CEO or middle manager or the owner of a convenience store.

    Thanks a lot.
