RNC Chairman Michael Steele appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night and theorized that the Democrats are leading a “fundamental effort” to “redistribute the wealth that is created and earned in this nation, to government.”
Steele attacked the Obama administration for its “fundamentally flawed view of how free markets, free enterprise, and the capitalist system that has built this nation, works.”
He continued: “There’s a fundamental effort afoot here to shift, redistribute the wealth that is created and earned in this nation, to government. Through whatever policies, whatever means that fit.”
Steele cited health care and cap-and-trade as some of the ways “in which they empower those institutions that are either beholden to the government, or the government itself. So the reality is this is a very different type of view of how we create wealth in the country.”
