Starbucks says it will hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years, a response to President Donald Trump's indefinite suspension of Syrian refugees and temporary travel bans that apply to six other Muslim-majority nations. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is reportedly making travel plans for his book tour that would land him face time in some key early caucus and primary states as he mulls a 2020 bid, CNBC reported.

According to a person with direct knowledge of the matter who spoke to CNBC, Schultz will likely visit Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada soon. The dates and locations of the visits have not yet been “locked in,” the person told CNBC.

Schultz has received criticism from Democrats in recent days after he said he was considering running as an independent in 2020, a decision that Democrats believe would split the vote and tip the scales in President Trump’s favor.
