Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will meet with the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on October 11, according to a Tuesday Politico report.

The interviews will center on the report that Rosenstein proposed secretly recording President Donald Trump in early 2017.

The format is reportedly not yet decided on, whether it will be a formal and transcribed interview to be filed away with the joint panel’s investigation of the Department of Justice, or a more casual appearance where Rosenstein will just share his response to the report.

Either way, the interview comes at a high-tension time for Rosenstein as he waits to see if the President will fire him or not. Trump and Rosenstein were initially slated to meet one-on-one last week, but the meeting got postponed in light of the high-drama Kavanaugh-Ford hearings.

  1. Based on the way he handled himself in his last go-round appearance, I have little confidence that the Ridiots are going to touch him.

If Rump and his family had half a brain between them, Rosenstein would be Kavanaugh’s replacement nominee.

  4. Why does the title suggest that he’s only meeting with Republicans, when the article indicates he’s meeting with the full Committee’s?
