Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) said today that he’s “not ruling anything out” and is “going to have an open mind” about the possibility of challenging Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) for his Senate seat in November.

On MSNBC, Pence said that he will meet with Republican Senate leaders today and that he’s “gonna hear them out,” but his focus right now is “doing everything in my power” to elect a Republican majority in the House in 2010.

“I believe we can do that,” he said.

However, he added, “I’m not ruling anything out. I’m going to have an open mind this afternoon.”
