Former NBC host Megyn Kelly is reportedly resisting signing non-disclosure and non-disparagement agreements as NBC officials and her lawyer, Hollywood litigator Bryan Freedman, and NBC duke it out over Kelly’s departure negotiations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Freedman is also reportedly pushing to get the total remainder of Kelly’s three-year, $69 million contract with the network, of which she has a little over a year left.
NBC announced Kelly’s departure last week and said the time slot for her show, “Megyn Kelly Today,” would be staffed by “Today” show anchors for the time being. While the official circumstances surrounding Kelly’s ousting are unclear, the move came just days after she apologized on-air for not understanding the racist roots of blackface makeup.
Grifters all: lawyer, Megyn, Andy Lack.
I wish I could find a job that would pay me $69 million to suck at my job.
Corporate welfare.
In the worst case, I hope NBC keeps her on contract—doing nothing.
Good riddance. I stopped watching NBC News years ago because of poor decisions like hiring Megyn Kelly.
