Rachel Maddow Show producer Bill Wolff interviewed host Rachel Maddow last night on supposed rumors that she will run for Senate — rumors that fueled a fundraising campaign by Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA).
Apparently, Brown sent out an e-mail to supporters warning them of Maddow’s imminent run, an idea seemingly derived from a Tweet by DNC chair John Walsh. The email said: “I’m sure she’s a nice person. I just don’t think America can afford her liberal politics.”
On her show last night, Maddow said she’s ‘bewildered’ by Brown’s campaign, and said if the DNC machine is pushing for her to run, “it is a silent, invisible machine that hasn’t yet contacted me.”
She added that she was happy with her current job, and has no plans for a Senate bid.
