Debra Katz, lawyer for professor Christine Blasey Ford, says that Ford is willing to publicly testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while they were both in high school.
Katz added to CNN’s Alisyn Camerota that while Ford is fully willing to share her story publicly, no lawmakers have contacted her asking her to do so.
According to a Sunday Bloomberg report, the White House is eager to avoid a public hearing with Ford, worrying that it could foster sympathy for the alleged victim.
Ford gave the Washington Post a detailed account of her accusation on Sunday, describing an episode where Kavanaugh groped her and tried to rip her clothes off, covering her mouth when she tried to scream. Ford allegedly managed to escape when Kavanaugh’s friend jumped on both of them.

Surely, the woman is willing to testify publicly, not to publicly testify.
(Whether or not split infinitives are grammatical–they are not–they are bad writing. And almost always easy to avoid.)
Turning lemons into lemonade. I like this lady more and more. Seems that integrity has a place afterall.
She is very brave to do this. She will will undoubtedly be called a liar and receive death threats, especially from the Christo-Facists whose only goal in life is undoing Roe vs. Wade.
Get Mark Judge under oath, too.
Ford will say she remembers what happened, and that it was Kavanaugh and Judge. Rs will insist that Kavanaugh NOT be called to testify again, and stick with his statement: never happened.
So Judge is the key. He will say this didn’t happen.
And (if Ds are smart – I kid, I kid), they will ask about his memoir of being a blackout drunk in high school.
“What does it mean, to be a blackout drunk, Mr. Judge?”
If I recall the WaPo story correctly, the she’s-a-little-bit-nutty-and-a-little-bit-slutty assault has already started.
She was hopelessly naive if she really thought that she could derail Bart O’Kavanaugh’s nomination and remain anonymous.
