GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — While governments debate taking down Confederate flag or removing it altogether, a county in Tennessee is considering raising the divisive banner.
The Greene County Commission will take up a resolution Monday to fly the Confederate flag on top of the county courthouse alongside the American flag.
The resolution was proposed by Commissioner James “Buddy” Randolph. It says the flag honors those Tennesseans who fought in the Civil War, during which time the state had large numbers of both Union and Confederate supporters.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that the county was among the staunchest in East Tennessee to oppose secession, with the majority of its residents fighting in the Union Army.

Good move. It’s about time that someone recognized the plight of the disenfranchised white Southern male.
So, I guess the German Government should fly the Swastika alongside the German Flag to “honor” those who fought on BOTH SIDES of WW2?
Fucking Rednecks…
Is there another ocuntry that allows the flying of a flag that was flown by traitors? I don’t understand the thinking that goes on in the South where they feel the rest of America would tolerate it.
The folks who run Greene County aren’t always capable of thought.
God damn what a bunch of dumb fucks!
