President Donald Trump’s Twitter feed routinely offers followers a relatively transparent window into what news items from “Fox and Friends” incensed or pleased the President the most.

But, nearly two years into Trump’s presidency, it’s become increasingly difficult to decipher who is influencing whom.

Coming off a weekend of foaming Trump tweets about the caravan of migrants traveling toward the U.S.-Mexico border, “Fox and Friends” host Brian Kilmeade appeared to have taken a page from Trump’s book as he shouted about reports that the immigrants hoped to seek asylum in the U.S.

“To think you have somebody organized like this, to march where they get maximum publicity and defiantly say, ‘I’m coming to America and you can’t stop me.’ They have their own chants, they have their own organization. To me this is an ‘in your face’ to America,” he said.

He then picked up another regular Trump talking point: blaming Democrats. In recent tweets, Trump has claimed that Democrats are responsible for the caravan and has even declared he’d pull aid from countries like Guatemala for not stopping the group.

“Democrats should be just as outraged about this and they should about the Khashoggi killing,” he said, referencing the Washington Post writer who was allegedly murder by Saudi officials earlier this month. “This should be one that brings both sides together to say, ‘We have to have integrity at our borders.'”

“How in the world are they able to walk that far?” co-host Ainsley Earhardt said in response, asking only the toughest questions.

Minutes later, Trump unleashed in a series of tweets, declaring the approaching group of immigrants a “National Emergy.”
