Dr. Jack Cassell, who put up a sign outside his Florida office that says Obama supporters should seek care “elsewhere,” was on Fox News today, and contended that he’s “not refusing care” to anyone, just trying to make a point.

Host Neil Cavuto concluded: “You’re just trying to create a fuss.”

As we reported earlier, Cassell put a sign outside his office that says: “if you voted for Obama…seek Urologic health care elsewhere.”

On Fox News, he explained that he had come “across the timeline for implementation of Obamacare and I got a little discouraged.”

Cavuto asked about those who have said Cassell is “crossing a Hippocratic line here,” since doctors cannot refuse care based on patients’ political beliefs.

When Cassell replied that he’s “not refusing care,” Cavuto shot back: “That’s how I read it.”

He added that if Cassell isn’t refusing care, he’s “just trying to create a fuss.”

Then things got a little awkward.

Cavuto asked what Cassell would say to doctors who argue that their job is to just deal with patients and not worry about health insurance. After some confused pauses, Cassell offered: “We have to handle some stuff for the patients,” before admitting “I’m not exactly sure of your question.”

Cavuto replied: “Actually, at this point, neither am I.”
