Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), one of the crucial senators who could switch sides and sink the nomination of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, described President Donald Trump’s mockery of accuser Professor Blasey Ford as “kind of appalling.”
“To discuss something this sensitive at a political rally is just not right, it’s just not right and I wish he had not have done it,” he said Wednesday morning on NBC, standing next to Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE).
On Tuesday night, Trump made fun of Blasey Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee to a laughing and applauding rally crowd in Mississippi.
Flake’s distress about pushing through Kavanaugh’s confirmation caused him to call for a pause in the process last week so an FBI investigation could be conducted before a full-Senate vote.
Due to the composition of the Senate, all of the Democrats would only need to be joined by two Republican peers to vote down Kavanaugh’s confirmation. The moderates who seem most likely to flip are Sens. Flake, Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).

“Kind of” ???
KIND of appalling?
WTF do you need to hear to make it outright appalling
He’s still on the fence about it. He’ll consult with the turtle to see how he should feel about this.
Perhaps when one uses the word appalling - kind of negates a modifying statement like “kind of” ?
The other way around, methinks, “she is a little bit pregnant”
