At a Suffolk University Law School event yesterday, Patrick suggested that the actions of Republicans in Washington are nearly at the “level of sedition.”
Asked about partisan wrangling in Congress, Patrick responded that he doesn’t face nearly the level of opposition that President Obama does.
“It seems like child’s play compared to what is going on in Washington, where it is almost at the level of sedition, it feels like to me,’ he said.
Neither Patrick’s campaign nor his gubernatorial office immediately returned phone calls seeking comment this morning.
But after the event, Patrick explained that his use of the word “sedition” was merely “a rhetorical flourish.”
