Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) asked for prayers and privacy Wednesday, saying that her husband, former longtime Rep. John Dingell, has entered a “new phase.”
I will be taking each day as it comes. We thank people for their friendship and support and ask for prayers and privacy during this difficult time.

Per the Detroit Free Press, John Dingell, 92, retired in 2015 as the longest serving congressman in history, and the Dean of the House. He was hospitalized in September for a heart attack.
Dingell was one of the fixtures in the house. I read he is now in Hospice. His has been a long life well spent.
I hope he pulls through. One of the biggest surprises I got online was from following his tweet feed, and realizing what a very smart, funny guy he is.
He might just be ready.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer a year ago and declined treatment.
An excellent congressman and public servant. I loved reading his tweets after Trump was installed.
He will be missed
His Twitter feed has been pure gold.
