As former Vice President Joe Biden continues to stir up speculation over his potential presidential bid in 2020, he made an honest case to students at the University of Montana on Monday night for why they should trust him: I make mistakes, but at least I don’t lie.
“I am a gaffe machine, but my God what a wonderful thing compared to a guy who can’t tell the truth,” he said, according to CNN. “I’m ready to litigate all those things, the question is what kind of nation are we becoming? What are we going to do? Who are we?”
“Whether or not I run, whoever runs, I’m going to break my neck to make sure they win,” he continued. “We can’t have four more years.”
Biden acknowledged he thinks he’s the “most qualified person” in the U.S. to run for president, but said a 2020 run is a decision he will make as a family “unit.”
Another old guy that needs to follow Carter’s example.
He’s alone in thinking this.
Whoever it is, they can’t just run on how transcendently and obviously bad the Rump is. They have to show up in every state, usually 2-3 states a day, every day, asking for votes, for money, for help, for money to hire help, for help to get money to get more help to help get out the vote. Gaffe or no gaffe, that’s what he’s be signing up for.
No his dog does too, and don’t dare claim otherwise!
And somewhere in this tour of 2-3 states a day someone will remind the voters of how he performed, literally performed, at the Thomas hearings, drowned out Hill because he preferred the sound of his own voice. He has said he owes her an apology but has never given her one.
