Steve Bannon, the failed conservative media mogul and former chief strategist to President Trump, has embraced a new cause since vowing to unseat establishment Republicans in the midterms and then not actually doing it.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Bannon is working alongside Chinese businessman Guo Wengui and will oversee the Chinese government dissident’s $100 million effort to investigate abuse within the Chinese government. The fund is called the “Rule of Law Fund” and will apparently look into deaths and disappearances of well known officials in China, like executives and politicians.
During a press conference, Bannon — who is working for Guo voluntarily — emphasized that the effort was not associated with Trump or his administration, according to the WSJ. Bannon’s responsibilities will include overseeing operations and hiring staffers.
Guo is currently wanted for arrest in China.
With Bannon on his side, I expect Guo Wengui to be arrested forthwith.
When we see how the DOJ goons handle Fethullah Gülen, Mr. Guo’s predicament will become clear.

Whatever else he is, he’s a grifter like Bannon.
@schmed According to Wikipedia, he belongs to Mar a Lago, so I’m pretty sure under the new Constitution, that gives him immunity.
When everyone is corrupt, no one is corrupt. Or something like that.
Yes, Bannon may be volunteering his skills (Paul Manafort, anyone?), but if he
you can bet $90 mill of that is going to be directed towards Bannon commissions.
Or else he’s gonna go to the Chinese and say, “hey, I’ll fuck this up if you pony up more cash.”
