The House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees will hold a closed-door hearing with George Papadopoulos later on October 25, CNN reported Friday, citing unnamed sources.

The former Trump campaign aide was sentenced last month to 14 days in jail for lying to the FBI.

He reached a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team after lying to investigators about his interactions with a Russia-linked professor. Papadopoulos also bragged to an Australian diplomat in May 2016 that he had been promised dirt on Hillary Clinton, a comment that prompted the FBI to start investigating potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling.
