Jon Stewart on Tuesday took on the issue of voter ID laws that he says are “ostensibly set up to stop nonexistent in-person voter fraud.” But, it turns out, the laws have the potential to disenfranchise elderly and minority voters — i.e. Democrats, Stewart said.
On Tuesday, a Pennsylvania judge ruled on the state’s voter ID law, concluding that poll workers can still ask for photo identification at the polls, but they will allow votes to be cast without seeing an ID.
“Typical liberal judge striking down a perfectly hypothetical solution for fear of the real harm that it does,” Stewart said.
