If true, the new reports would belie Massa's claim that the allegations against him involved an incident at a New Year's Eve wedding party when he made an off-color remark to a male staffer, whose hair Massa says he tousled.
Massa himself on Sunday talked about at least one previous allegation of sexual misconduct from his Navy days.
The ethics committee said last week -- before Massa resigned yesterday -- that it was investigating unspecified allegations against the congressman.
The committee did not respond to a request for comment about whether the investigation is ongoing. Even though Massa is no longer a member of Congress, the committee could still release a report on Massa, as it did several months after the resignation of Mark Foley in the page sex scandal in 2006.
