A yoga studio in Arlington, Va. apologized on Thursday for a Sept. 11 “Patriot Day” discount.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, Bikram Yoga offered a “9+11 = 20%” discount. The studio then issued multiple apologies, mixed in with a tweet on “chatter” about another potential terrorist attack on Thursday.

Bikram Yoga also deleted the tweets defending the sale and about “chatter,” but continued to apologize for the “badly worded” promotion on Twitter and Facebook.
The individual who wrote the Tweet about the sale identified himself as Frank and said that he wrote it late at night.
So, I’ve made a horrible mistake that was unintended by sending a badly worded promotion today, so again I apologize. – Frank

The intention of the sale was to honor the memory of the many members of our family, community and our nation that we lost.

I’m sure that those who died on 9/11 would have LOVED to know that they are being remembered by 20% off sales!!!
“I wrote that stupid post at 1am with yoga brain.”
So yoga makes you stupid and insensitive? Seems like it’s supposed to do the opposite.
And next Dec 7th, don’t forget the 20% all pearl earrings at the jewelry store! It’s the Pearl Harbor Day special!
Of course, our wedding anniversary is June 6, and my wife only realized this year (after 21 years!!) that we got married on D-Day.
Yep, totally within what yoga is truly meant to stand for. Profiting from murder, death and destruction. asshat…
Because there are no Memorial Day weekend sales, either.
