A video posted by Russian media over the weekend showed President Vladimir Putin reeling in a gargantuan fish — and then kissing his prized catch for good measure.
According to state-owned RIA Novosti Agency, Putin caught a 21-kilogram (or about 46 lbs) pike. An aide can be heard telling Putin to be careful while handling the pike, warning the president that the fish may bite.
“I will bite her myself,” Putin said, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times. Ever the outdoorsmen, Putin posed earlier this year for a now-viral photo shoot with his dogs.
