Rapper 2Chainz got the best of Nancy Grace Tuesday when the HLN host pressed him to justify his support for marijuana legalization.

Grace, an outspoken opponent of legalization, implored 2Chainz to watch several clips of children whose parents forced them to get high and then defend his marijuana use.

“Anybody that loves their kid definitely knows not to put them in harm’s way, and that’s what she did,” 2Chainz said after Grace played one of the clips. “I don’t agree with that at all.”

Grace’s entire argument was centered on the fact that marijuana legalization would give “irresponsible child abusers” access to the drug. 2Chainz quickly pointed out that any individual who would use the drug in that way already has access to it.

“I’m not sure if you know, but everybody has the ability to get their hands on pot right now whether it’s legal or not,” the rapper argued. “I just feel like if you legalize this particular drug, it could cut out certain things in the criminal justice system as far as the overcrowding of prisons, as far as putting this on our criminal records to prevent us from getting loans, from getting homes.”

“If you want to qualify for a home, then why don’t you just not smoke pot?” Grace shot back. “Why don’t you just not get arrested?”

2Chainz then argued that marijuana legalization would free up taxpayer dollars currently used to police minor drug offenses. Grace wasn’t having it, though, and circled right back to another clip of a child smoking pot.
