Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday that he “wouldn’t be shocked” if he didn’t get the GOP nomination, noting that there were “a lot of good people” competing against him.

“Look, I’m dealing with very, very talented people, smart people, good people and you know, I think they’ll be competing. We still have competition,” Trump said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

CBS host asked Trump if he’d be shocked if he didn’t get the nomination. Trump took first place Saturday in the South Carolina primary.

“Well, I wouldn’t be shocked. Look, again, I’m competing against, you know, professional politicians, senators, top of the line. I know Ben Carson is still in it, he’s a terrific guy and a talented guy, so I’m competing against a lot of very good people,” he replied. “So you know, I don’t want to say it’s mine. Certainly I’m leading, there’s no question about that, but we’ve got a long way to go.”
