Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was projected to win the Massachusetts primary on Tuesday, according to MSNBC and CNN.

Trump was the favored candidate going into the Southern-dominated Super Tuesday contests and in Massachusetts. TPM’s PollTracker Average showed the real estate mogul with 49.7 percent of support in the Bay State, compared to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) with 35.7 percent and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) with 27 percent.

Trump held several large rallies in Massachusetts shortly after winning the New Hampshire primary. A WBZ/UMass Amherst poll released Monday showed him leading among all demographics except for voters ages 18-29, CBS reported.

Trump had also been quick to tout his relationship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Brady was spotted with a “Make America Great Again” hat in his gym locker last year.
