Presidential candidate and reported GOP front-runner Donald Trump slammed President Obama’s negotiations with Iran in a video that aired Thursday, noting that “the Persians are great negotiators.”
“We are making a terrible deal,” Trump told CNN in a sit-down interview that the channel has aired in pieces throughout this week. “We have the wrong people negotiating for us.”
“The Persians are great negotiators,” he added. “They are laughing at the stupidity of the deal we’re making on nuclear.”
Trump called for more sanctions on the Islamic Republic and also recovery of American citizens held in Iran, “held in the worst prisons, they say, in the world.”
The remarks echoed the harsher words of Trump-critic and fellow Republican presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who in June said that his time working in a pool room taught him that “the Iranians are liars.“
“This negotiation should have taken a week,” Trump added during his interview. “That’s because I’m being generous — should have taken a day — but it should have taken a week. This is going on forever!”

Has anyone ever heard of anyone, but Trump, saying Trump is the world’s greatest negotiator?
Why doesn’t he prove he can do better by going to Tehran and coming home with a deal? I’ll chip in for a 1-way ticket.
Well, if we’re using the “they tell me” standard he does, no. I read an article the other day that noted in passing that he’s not even at the top among NYC-based real-estate developers—one list had him around number 14. He’s like Liberace, who was wildly successful at being a celebrity but was never actually much of a piano player.
Trump would have negotiated a very classy deal. The negotiators would have signed it with gold pens, which, as you know, are very classy. Second, no Mexicans would have been allowed in the room. And finally, all the aides would be former Miss America contestants…but only recent ones of course.
