Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump again dodge saying Sunday whether he would keep with the RNC pledge and support the Republican nominee despite meeting with the party’s leaders last week.

At first, Trump seemed to suggest that he would keep with the party’s pledge during an appearance on CBS News’ “Face the Nation.”

“I want to support the party. I don’t think I have to comment too much on it right now. I want to support the party. If Ted or somebody doesn’t want to support me, that’s okay. That’s okay. But if they don’t want to support me, honestly, that’s okay,” Trump said. “And I can understand how they feel. But it’s one of those things.”

Host John Dickerson asked Trump if that meant he would tell his supporters to back the nominee.

“I will tell you when we meet at the convention. We’ll see how we’re treated. I want to see how we’re treated,” Trump replied. “I want to see how we’re treated. Look, I signed a pledge. They wanted me to sign the pledge. And I’m the one that’s being discriminated against.”

Trump and other candidates seeking the Republican nomination signed a pledge to run as Republicans and support the nominee. Trump has again suggested in recent days that he might break the pledge.

  1. I love that somebody this egocentric, circular, and stupid is going to be the Know-Nothing Party’s candidate.

  2. Unformed, his ideas come from nowhere, and they just float around un-moored on the surface of his consciousness like icebergs until he lights on one. Then, if they prove unpopular, and another one comes along, he hops on that one. He´s comfortable in that mental landscape. Me, it would scare the hell out of, and I´d seek help.

  3. Wow! Donald feels he’s being “discriminated” against?

How in the world can one white man discriminate against another white man?

  4. I don’t think I have to comment too much on it right now.

Anyone notice he’s saying this more and more in the last week, as if this is his strategery to avoid the bad press? No comment? That’s gonna fly like a penguin.
