Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced Tuesday afternoon that his last day in the role will be March 31, but that he will transfer most of his duties to his deputy, John Sullivan, on Tuesday.

Tillerson told reporters that President Donald Trump called him early Tuesday afternoon and that he also spoke with chief of staff John Kelly following the announcement that he was fired.

  1. Good. That’s the day the Trump administration has its monthly “Hail and Farewell” party to gratefully warn the departing about loose lips sinking ships, and enthusiastically weld sturdy electronic ankle bracelets to the excited new arrivals.

    They usually get an Italian Cream Cake from Costco. Those are great.

  3. If I was in Tillerson’s particular situation, after getting fired by tweet by the asshat clown…I think I’d just say “fuck it” and use up my accumulated sick days between now and then. Oh, and be sure to get paid for my unused vacation days.

    This Administration should be committed for their (and our) own good. Someone really should stage an intervention, but unfortunately, the only person Trump will listen to is Putin. And he’s quite happy with the current state of affairs.
