While other GOP candidates participating in the Fox Business Network debate dodged the question as to whether they would bail out major banks in a financial crisis, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made his opposition to “cronyism” position clear.
“The opening question [moderator Jerry Seib] asked — would you bailout the big banks again — nobody gave you an answer to that. I will give you an answer,” Cruz said. “Absolutely not.”
Like his Republican rivals, Cruz claimed that the Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation was actually making a future financial crisis more likely. Moderator Neil Cavuto asked him to clarify whether he would let a bank like Bank of America fail if it were on the brink.
“Yes,” Cruz said, before turning his scorn toward the Federal Reserve, which he said was run by a “a series of philosopher kings.”
Cavuto asked him to confirm one more time that he would let a Bank of America go.
“Let me be clear. I would not bail them out,” Cruz said.
And STILL with one of the most punchable faces on Washington. I won’t even comment on his “Great depression? Great times!”
Okay, so that was a little comment.
Considering how Big Money runs things in Washington, D.C., from behind the scenes I’d say that Ted Cruz is now 100% predicted to be toast, will NEVER win the nomination now.
I wish these GOP/TP 2016 presidential candidates had on gasoline drawers that would ignite spontaneously every time they told a lie because Cruz would be a cinder by now. This guy sure knows how to lie, lie, and lie some more.
If that were the case, the building would have come burning down in the first half hour. None of the candidates would have survived. Hmmm …
Can you imagine, your Treasury Secretary and virtually every economist beside Rick Sanrelli telling you that if you do nothing the country (the world) will experience another Great Depression and President Cruz says “fuck 'em”.
